«MONITORING OF GEOLOGICAL PROCESSES AND ECOLOGICAL CONDITION OF THE ENVIRONMENT»
11-14 October 2017, Kyiv, Ukraine
ПЕРШЕ ПОВІДОМЛЕННЯ (завантажити)
The conference is dedicated to monitoring of natural hazards, which include both geological hazards, and study the geological factors that can lead to environmental disasters. Urgency of the issue is clearly illustrated by recent natural disasters such as the devastating earthquakes in Japan, Iran, Indonesia, landslides; flooding; and karst processes in Ukraine, as well as other countries. The conference will cover: reports of natural hazards event analysis for risk reduction, natural hazards impact on technological systems and urban areas, seismoacoustic and electromagnetic monitoring; advanced technologies of geophysical monitoring of geodynamics and environmentally dangerous objects, geophysics of soil, subsoil monitoring, GIS. The conference will include new approaches of using geological and geophysical methods for natural and man-made processes assessment, as well as ecological analysis of territories. Major emphasis will be made on development of seismic safety system, and; data-analytical systems for environmental monitoring of the atmosphere, surface and ground water, soil, landfills of highly radioactive and high-toxic wastes. Objective of this event is to facilitate exchange of valuable scientific experience, integration of different sectors of research, and improvement of interagency and international cooperation.
During the conference a tour to the Chernobyl zone will be organized!
